Things have been super super hectic so far during internship. Working crazy hours definitely takes its toll; but I have been very determined to keep working out and maintaining a healthy / balanced diet. (While also attempting to stay sane :P.. some days more successfully than others..)
Fall has definitely been a welcome change. Even though the days are getting shorter, which means some days I arrive & leave work in the dark… the lower temperatures have definitely been more than welcome. I have started running again, which I haven’t really been very consistent about since February. It’s been great to start pushing my endurance again! I have a tentative goal of running a half in January. But to be honest, I don’t know if my knees will handle it.
While researching running training plans online I stumbled across RunTastic.com . It’s an awesome website chaulk full of training programs; for various distances as well as goals (like bikini body is one of them!). They also have a lot of informative videos.
The Runtastic YouTube channel is also amaaazing! They have so many quick workouts, perfect for accompanying running. Usually they are 5-10 minutes which is the perfect length; I’ll combine several if I have more time. But if I’m super short on time I can always just squeeze in one! They also have a million recipes and informative videos about proper stretching, form, etc. I had no idea there were so many different ways to tie my running shoes.. But they have a video on that, even! My hands down favorite workout is the running cross training one here.
